Saṅkhārasutta Constructions
“Tayome, bhikkhave, puggalā santo saṁvijjamānā lokasmiṁ. Mendiants, on trouve dans le monde ces trois (types d’)individus.
Katame tayo? Quels sont ces trois ?
Idha, bhikkhave, ekacco puggalo sabyābajjhaṁ kāyasaṅkhāraṁ abhisaṅkharoti, sabyābajjhaṁ vacīsaṅkhāraṁ abhisaṅkharoti, sabyābajjhaṁ manosaṅkhāraṁ abhisaṅkharoti. À cet égard, mendiants, un certain individu construit des constructions corporelles afflictives, il construit des constructions verbales afflictives, et construit des constructions mentales afflictives.
So sabyābajjhaṁ kāyasaṅkhāraṁ abhisaṅkharitvā, sabyābajjhaṁ vacīsaṅkhāraṁ abhisaṅkharitvā, sabyābajjhaṁ manosaṅkhāraṁ abhisaṅkharitvā sabyābajjhaṁ lokaṁ upapajjati. Ayant construit des constructions corporelles afflictives, ayant construit des constructions verbales afflictives, et ayant construit des constructions mentales afflictives, il réapparaît dans un monde afflictif.
Tamenaṁ sabyābajjhaṁ lokaṁ upapannaṁ samānaṁ sabyābajjhā phassā phusanti. Étant réapparu dans un monde afflictif, des contacts afflictifs le touchent.
So sabyābajjhehi phassehi phuṭṭho samāno sabyābajjhaṁ vedanaṁ vedayati ekantadukkhaṁ, seyyathāpi sattā nerayikā. Étant touché par des contacts afflictifs, il ressent des ressentis afflictifs uniquement désagréables, comme les êtres des enfers.
Idha pana, bhikkhave, ekacco puggalo abyābajjhaṁ kāyasaṅkhāraṁ abhisaṅkharoti, abyābajjhaṁ vacīsaṅkhāraṁ abhisaṅkharoti, abyābajjhaṁ manosaṅkhāraṁ abhisaṅkharoti. Ou bien, mendiants, un certain individu construit des constructions corporelles non afflictives, il construit des constructions verbales non afflictives, et construit des constructions mentales non afflictives.

So sabyābajjhehipi abyābajjhehipi phassehi phuṭṭho samāno sabyābajjhampi abyābajjhampi vedanaṁ vedayati vokiṇṇasukhadukkhaṁ, seyyathāpi manussā ekacce ca devā ekacce ca vinipātikā. Étant touché par des contacts afflictifs et non afflictifs, il ressent des ressentis afflictifs et non afflictifs agréables et désagréables mélangés, comme les humains, certains dévas et certains (êtres) des mondes inférieurs.
Ime kho, bhikkhave, tayo puggalā santo saṁvijjamānā lokasmin”ti. Voici, mendiants, quels sont ces trois (types d’)individus que l’on trouve dans le monde.
