Saį¹…kāsanasutta Expressions

ā€œā€˜Idaṁ dukkhaṁ ariyasaccan’ti, bhikkhave, mayā paƱƱattaṁ. ā€œMendicants, I’ve declared: ā€˜This is the noble truth of suffering.’

Tattha aparimāṇā vaṇṇā aparimāṇā byaƱjanā aparimāṇā saį¹…kāsanā: And there are limitless explanations, phrases, and expressions about that:

ā€˜itipidaṁ dukkhaṁ ariyasaccan’ti; ā€˜This is another way of saying that this is the noble truth of suffering.’

idaṁ dukkhasamudayaṁ …pe… I’ve declared: ā€˜This is the noble truth of the origin of suffering.’ …

idaṁ dukkhanirodhaṁ …pe… I’ve declared: ā€˜This is the noble truth of the cessation of suffering.’ …

ā€˜idaṁ dukkhanirodhagāminÄ« paį¹­ipadā ariyasaccan’ti, bhikkhave, mayā paƱƱattaṁ. I’ve declared: ā€˜This is the noble truth of the practice that leads to the cessation of suffering.’

Tasmātiha, bhikkhave, ā€˜idaṁ dukkhan’ti yogo karaṇīyo …pe… ā€˜ayaṁ dukkhanirodhagāminÄ« paį¹­ipadā’ti yogo karaṇīyoā€ti. That’s why you should practice meditation ā€¦ā€
