NibbedhikapaƱƱāsutta Penetrating Wisdom

ā€œā€¦ NibbedhikapaƱƱatāya saṁvattanti. ā€œMendicants, when four things are developed and cultivated they lead to penetrating wisdom.

Katame cattāro? What four?

Sappurisasaṁsevo, saddhammassavanaṁ, yonisomanasikāro, dhammānudhammappaį¹­ipatti—Associating with true persons, listening to the true teaching, rational application of mind, and practicing in line with the teaching.

ime kho, bhikkhave, cattāro dhammā bhāvitā bahulÄ«katā nibbedhikapaƱƱatāya saṁvattantÄ«ā€ti. When these four things are developed and cultivated they lead to penetrating wisdom.ā€

Terasamaṁ.

MahāpaƱƱavaggo sattamo.

Tassuddānaṁ

Mahā puthu vipula gambhīraṁ,

Appamatta bhūri bāhullaṁ;

Sīgha lahu hāsa javana,

Tikkha nibbedhikāya cāti.
