UpÄdÄnakkhandhasutta Grasping Aggregates
āPaƱcime, bhikkhave, upÄdÄnakkhandhÄ. āMendicants, there are these five grasping aggregates.
Katame paƱca? What five?
Seyyathidaį¹ārÅ«pupÄdÄnakkhandho, vedanupÄdÄnakkhandho, saƱƱupÄdÄnakkhandho, saį¹
khÄrupÄdÄnakkhandho, viƱƱÄį¹upÄdÄnakkhandho. The grasping aggregates of form, feeling, perception, choices, and consciousness.
Ime kho, bhikkhave, paƱcupÄdÄnakkhandhÄ. These are the five grasping aggregates.
Imesaį¹ kho, bhikkhave, paƱcannaį¹ upÄdÄnakkhandhÄnaį¹ abhiƱƱÄya pariƱƱÄya parikkhayÄya pahÄnÄya ā¦peā¦ ayaį¹ ariyo aį¹į¹haį¹
giko maggo bhÄvetabboāti. The noble eightfold path should be developed for the direct knowledge, complete understanding, finishing, and giving up of these five grasping aggregates.ā
