ā€œSeyyathāpi, bhikkhave, yā kāci tārakarÅ«pānaṁ pabhā, sabbā tā candimappabhāya kalaṁ nāgghanti soįø·asiṁ, candappabhā tāsaṁ aggamakkhāyati; ā€œThe radiance of all the stars is not worth a sixteenth part of the moon’s radiance, so the moon’s radiance is said to be the best of them all. ā€¦ā€

aṭṭhamaṁ.

ā€œSeyyathāpi, bhikkhave, saradasamaye viddhe vigatavalāhake deve ādicco nabhaṁ abbhussakkamāno sabbaṁ ākāsagataṁ tamagataṁ abhivihacca bhāsate ca tapate ca virocati ca; ā€œIn the autumn, the heavens are clear and cloudless. And as the sun is rising to the firmament, having dispelled all the darkness of space, it shines and glows and radiates. ā€¦ā€

navamaṁ.

ā€œSeyyathāpi, bhikkhave, yāni kānici tantāvutānaṁ vatthānaṁ, kāsikavatthaṁ tesaṁ aggamakkhāyati; ā€œMendicants, cloth from Kāsi is said to be the best kind of woven cloth. ā€¦ā€

evameva kho, bhikkhave, ye keci kusalā dhammā, sabbe te appamādamÅ«lakā appamādasamosaraṇā;

appamādo tesaṁ dhammānaṁ aggamakkhāyati.

Appamattassetaṁ, bhikkhave, bhikkhuno pāṭikaį¹…khaṁ—ariyaṁ aį¹­į¹­haį¹…gikaṁ maggaṁ bhāvessati ariyaṁ aį¹­į¹­haį¹…gikaṁ maggaṁ bahulÄ«karissati.

KathaƱca, bhikkhave, bhikkhu appamatto ariyaṁ aį¹­į¹­haį¹…gikaṁ maggaṁ bhāveti ariyaṁ aį¹­į¹­haį¹…gikaṁ maggaṁ bahulÄ«karoti?
