āMicchÄpaį¹ipattiƱca vo, bhikkhave, desessÄmi, sammÄpaį¹ipattiƱca. āMendicants, I will teach you the wrong practice and the right practice.

KatamÄ ca, bhikkhave, micchÄpaį¹ipatti? And whatās the wrong practice?
Seyyathidaį¹āmicchÄdiį¹į¹hi ā¦peā¦ micchÄsamÄdhi. It is wrong view, wrong thought, wrong speech, wrong action, wrong livelihood, wrong effort, wrong mindfulness, and wrong immersion.
Ayaį¹ vuccati, bhikkhave, micchÄpaį¹ipatti. This is called the wrong practice.
KatamÄ ca, bhikkhave, sammÄpaį¹ipatti? And whatās the right practice?
Seyyathidaį¹āsammÄdiį¹į¹hi ā¦peā¦ sammÄsamÄdhi. It is right view, right thought, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, and right immersion.
Ayaį¹ vuccati, bhikkhave, sammÄpaį¹ipattÄ«āti. This is called the right practice.ā
