āGihino vÄhaį¹, bhikkhave, pabbajitassa vÄ micchÄpaį¹ipadaį¹ na vaį¹į¹emi. āMendicants, I donāt praise wrong practice for laypeople or renunciates.
Gihi vÄ, bhikkhave, pabbajito vÄ micchÄpaį¹ipanno micchÄpaį¹ipattÄdhikaraį¹ahetu nÄrÄdhako hoti ƱÄyaį¹ dhammaį¹ kusalaį¹. Because of wrong practice, neither laypeople nor renunciates succeed in the system of the skillful teaching.
KatamÄ ca, bhikkhave, micchÄpaį¹ipadÄ? And whatās the wrong practice?
Seyyathidaį¹āmicchÄdiį¹į¹hi ā¦peā¦ micchÄsamÄdhi. It is wrong view, wrong thought, wrong speech, wrong action, wrong livelihood, wrong effort, wrong mindfulness, and wrong immersion.
Ayaį¹ vuccati, bhikkhave, micchÄpaį¹ipadÄ. This is called the wrong practice.
Gihino vÄhaį¹, bhikkhave, pabbajitassa vÄ micchÄpaį¹ipadaį¹ na vaį¹į¹emi. I donāt praise wrong practice for lay people or renunciates.

Seyyathidaį¹āsammÄdiį¹į¹hi ā¦peā¦ sammÄsamÄdhi. It is right view, right thought, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, and right immersion.
