āHatthesu, bhikkhave, sati ÄdÄnanikkhepanaį¹ paƱƱÄyati; āMendicants, when there are hands, picking up and putting down are found.
pÄdesu sati abhikkamapaį¹ikkamo paƱƱÄyati; When there are feet, coming and going are found.
pabbesu sati samiƱjanapasÄraį¹aį¹ paƱƱÄyati; When there are joints, contracting and extending are found.
kucchismiį¹ sati jighacchÄ pipÄsÄ paƱƱÄyati. When thereās a belly, hunger and thirst are found.
Evameva kho, bhikkhave, cakkhusmiį¹ sati cakkhusamphassapaccayÄ uppajjati ajjhattaį¹ sukhaį¹ dukkhaį¹ ā¦peā¦ In the same way, when thereās an eye, pleasure and pain arise internally conditioned by eye contact.
