Micchādiṭṭhipahānasutta Giving Up Wrong View

Atha kho aƱƱataro bhikkhu yena bhagavā tenupasaį¹…kami …pe… Then a mendicant went up to the Buddha …

ekamantaṁ nisinno so bhikkhu bhagavantaṁ etadavoca: and said to him:

ā€œkathaṁ nu kho, bhante, jānato kathaṁ passato micchādiį¹­į¹­hi pahÄ«yatÄ«ā€ti? ā€œSir, how does one know and see so that wrong view is given up?ā€

ā€œCakkhuṁ kho, bhikkhu, aniccato jānato passato micchādiį¹­į¹­hi pahÄ«yati. ā€œMendicant, knowing and seeing the eye, sights, eye consciousness, and eye contact as impermanent, wrong view is given up. …

Rūpe aniccato jānato passato micchādiṭṭhi pahīyati.

Cakkhuviññāṇaṁ aniccato jānato passato micchādiį¹­į¹­hi pahÄ«yati.

Cakkhusamphassaṁ aniccato jānato passato micchādiį¹­į¹­hi pahÄ«yati …pe…

yampidaṁ manosamphassapaccayā uppajjati vedayitaṁ sukhaṁ vā dukkhaṁ vā adukkhamasukhaṁ vā tampi aniccato jānato passato micchādiṭṭhi pahīyati. And also knowing and seeing the pleasant, painful, or neutral feeling that arises conditioned by mind contact as impermanent, wrong view is given up.

Evaṁ kho, bhikkhu, jānato evaṁ passato micchādiį¹­į¹­hi pahÄ«yatÄ«ā€ti. This is how to know and see so that wrong view is given up.ā€
