AnattanibbÄnasappÄyasutta Not-Self as Conducive to Extinguishment
āNibbÄnasappÄyaį¹ vo, bhikkhave, paį¹ipadaį¹ desessÄmi. āMendicants, I will teach you a practice thatās conducive to extinguishment.

katamÄ ca sÄ, bhikkhave, nibbÄnasappÄyÄ paį¹ipadÄ? And what is that practice thatās conducive to extinguishment?
Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu cakkhuį¹ anattÄti passati, rÅ«pÄ anattÄti passati, cakkhuviƱƱÄį¹aį¹ anattÄti passati, cakkhusamphasso anattÄti passati, yampidaį¹ cakkhusamphassapaccayÄ uppajjati vedayitaį¹ sukhaį¹ vÄ dukkhaį¹ vÄ adukkhamasukhaį¹ vÄ tampi anattÄti passati ā¦peā¦ Itās when a mendicant sees that the eye, sights, eye consciousness, and eye contact are not-self. And they see that the painful, pleasant, or neutral feeling that arises conditioned by eye contact is also not-self.
mano anattÄti passati, dhammÄ anattÄti passati, manoviƱƱÄį¹aį¹ anattÄti passati, manosamphasso anattÄti passati, yampidaį¹ manosamphassapaccayÄ uppajjati vedayitaį¹ sukhaį¹ vÄ dukkhaį¹ vÄ adukkhamasukhaį¹ vÄ tampi anattÄti passati. They see that the ear ā¦ nose ā¦ tongue ā¦ body ā¦ mind, ideas, mind-consciousness, and mind contact are not-self. And they see that the painful, pleasant, or neutral feeling that arises conditioned by mind contact is also not-self.
Ayaį¹ kho sÄ, bhikkhave, nibbÄnasappÄyÄ paį¹ipadÄāti. This is that practice thatās conducive to extinguishment.ā
