Ajjhattānattasutta The Interior as Not-Self

ā€œCakkhuṁ, bhikkhave, anattā. ā€œMendicants, the eye is not-self.

Yadanattā taṁ ā€˜netaṁ mama, nesohamasmi, na meso attā’ti evametaṁ yathābhÅ«taṁ sammappaƱƱāya daį¹­į¹­habbaṁ. And what’s not-self should be truly seen with right understanding like this: ā€˜This is not mine, I am not this, this is not my self.’

Sotaṁ anattā …pe… The ear,

ghānaṁ anattā … nose,

jivhā anattā … tongue,

kāyo anattā … body,

mano anattā. and mind are not-self.

Yadanattā taṁ ā€˜netaṁ mama, nesohamasmi, na meso attā’ti evametaṁ yathābhÅ«taṁ sammappaƱƱāya daį¹­į¹­habbaṁ. And what’s not-self should be truly seen with right understanding like this: ā€˜This is not mine, I am not this, this is not my self.’

nāparaṁ itthattāyāti pajānātÄ«ā€ti. They understand: ā€˜ā€¦ there is nothing further for this place.ā€™ā€
