ā€œValāhakakāyike vo, bhikkhave, deve desessāmi. ā€œMendicants, I will teach you about the gods of the clouds.

Taį¹ suį¹‡Ätha. Listen ā€¦

Katame ca, bhikkhave, valāhakakāyikā devā? And what are the gods of the clouds?

Santi, bhikkhave, sītavalāhakā devā; There are gods of the cool clouds,

santi uį¹‡havalāhakā devā; warm clouds,

santi abbhavalāhakā devā; thunder clouds,

santi vātavalāhakā devā; windy clouds,

santi vassavalāhakā devāā€”and rainy clouds.

ime vuccanti, bhikkhave, ā€˜valāhakakāyikā devāā€™ā€ti. These are called the gods of the clouds.ā€
