Pathavīdhātusutta Elements

Sāvatthinidānaṁ. At Sāvatthī.

ā€œPathavÄ«dhātu, bhikkhave, aniccā vipariṇāmÄ« aƱƱathābhāvÄ«; ā€œMendicants, the earth element is impermanent, decaying, and perishing.

āpodhātu … The water element,

tejodhātu … the fire element,

vāyodhātu … the air element,

ākāsadhātu … the space element,

viññāṇadhātu aniccā vipariṇāmÄ« aƱƱathābhāvÄ«. and the consciousness element are impermanent, decaying, and perishing.

Yo, bhikkhave, ime dhamme evaṁ saddahati adhimuccati, ayaṁ vuccati ā€˜saddhānusārÄ« …pe… Someone who has faith and confidence in these teachings is called a follower by faith. ā€¦ā€

sambodhiparāyanoā€™ā€ti.
