Aniccadhammasutta Liable to Impermanence

Sāvatthinidānaṁ. At Sāvatthī.

Ekamantaṁ nisinno kho āyasmā rādho bhagavantaṁ etadavoca: Seated to one side, Venerable Rādha said to the Buddha:

ā€œā€˜aniccadhammo, aniccadhammo’ti, bhante, vuccati. ā€œSir, they speak of this thing called ā€˜liable to impermanence’.

Katamo nu kho, bhante, aniccadhammoā€ti? What is liable to impermanence?

ā€œRÅ«paṁ kho, rādha, aniccadhammo, vedanā aniccadhammo, saƱƱā aniccadhammo, saį¹…khārā aniccadhammo, viññāṇaṁ aniccadhammo. ā€œRādha, form, feeling, perception, choices, and consciousness are liable to impermanence.

nāparaṁ itthattāyāti pajānātÄ«ā€ti. They understand: ā€˜ā€¦ there is nothing further for this place.ā€™ā€
