Aniccānupassīsutta Observing Impermanence

Sāvatthinidānaṁ. At Sāvatthī.

ā€œSaddhāpabbajitassa, bhikkhave, kulaputtassa ayamanudhammo hotiā€”ā€œMendicants, when a gentleman has gone forth out of faith, this is what’s in line with the teachings.

yaṁ rūpe aniccānupassī vihareyya. They should live observing impermanence in form,

Vedanāya … feeling,

saƱƱāya … perception,

saį¹…khāresu … choices,

viññāṇe aniccānupassÄ« vihareyya …pe… and consciousness. …

ā€˜parimuccati dukkhasmā’ti vadāmÄ«ā€ti. They’re freed from suffering, I say.ā€
