Paripucchitasutta Questioning

Sāvatthinidānaṁ. At Sāvatthī.

ā€œTaṁ kiṁ maƱƱatha, bhikkhave, ā€œWhat do you think, mendicants?

rÅ«paṁ ā€˜etaṁ mama, esohamasmi, eso me attā’ti samanupassathÄā€ti? Do you regard form like this: ā€˜This is mine, I am this, this is my self’?ā€

ā€œNo hetaṁ, bhanteā€. ā€œNo, sir.ā€

ā€œSādhu, bhikkhave. ā€œGood, mendicants!

RÅ«paṁ, bhikkhave, ā€˜netaṁ mama, nesohamasmi, na meso attā’ti evametaṁ yathābhÅ«taṁ sammappaƱƱāya daį¹­į¹­habbaṁ. Form should be truly seen with right understanding like this: ā€˜This is not mine, I am not this, this is not my self.’
