āSeyyathÄpi, bhikkhave, himavÄ pabbatarÄjÄ parikkhayaį¹ pariyÄdÄnaį¹ gaccheyya, į¹hapetvÄ satta sÄsapamattiyo pÄsÄį¹asakkharÄ. āMendicants, suppose the Himalayas, the king of mountains, was worn away and eroded except for seven pebbles the size of mustard seeds.
Taį¹ kiį¹ maƱƱatha, bhikkhave, What do you think, mendicants?
katamaį¹ nu kho bahutaraį¹, yaį¹ vÄ himavato pabbatarÄjassa parikkhÄ«į¹aį¹ pariyÄdiį¹į¹aį¹ yÄ vÄ satta sÄsapamattiyo pÄsÄį¹asakkharÄ avasiį¹į¹hÄāti? Which is more: the portion of the Himalayas, the king of mountains, that has been worn away and eroded, or the seven pebbles the size of mustard seeds that are left?ā

appamattikÄ satta sÄsapamattiyo pÄsÄį¹asakkharÄ avasiį¹į¹hÄ. The seven pebbles the size of mustard seeds are tiny.

appamattakaį¹ avasiį¹į¹haį¹. whatās left is tiny.

Evaį¹ mahatthiyo kho, bhikkhave, dhammÄbhisamayo, evaį¹ mahatthiyo dhammacakkhupaį¹ilÄbhoāti. Thatās how very beneficial it is to comprehend the teaching and gain the vision of the teaching.ā
