Rathasutta A Chariot Chariot
“Kiṁsu rathassa paññāṇaṁ, “What is a chariot known by? “What is the token of a chariot?
kiṁsu paññāṇamaggino; What is fire known by? What, the token of a fire?
Kiṁsu raṭṭhassa paññāṇaṁ, What is a nation known by? What is the token of a country?
kiṁsu paññāṇamitthiyā”ti. What is a woman known by?” What, the token of a woman?”
“Dhajo rathassa paññāṇaṁ, “A chariot is known by a banner. “A standard is the token of a chariot;
dhūmo paññāṇamaggino; Fire is known by smoke. Smoke, the token of a fire;
Rājā raṭṭhassa paññāṇaṁ, A nation is known by its ruler. The king is a country’s token;
bhattā paññāṇamitthiyā”ti. A woman is known by her husband.” A husband, the token of a woman. ”
