Tamahaį¹ anurakkhanto, I protected him,

āTiį¹į¹hateso mahÄrÄja, āLet him be, great king.
kÄmakÄro bhavÄmi teā. I shall carry out your pleasure.ā
Anurakkhiį¹ mama sÄ«laį¹, I guarded my ethics,
nÄrakkhiį¹ mama jÄ«vitaį¹; not my life.
SÄ«lavÄ hi tadÄ Äsiį¹, For then I was ethical,
bodhiyÄyeva kÄraį¹Äāti. because it was solely for awakening.ā
