SÄdhusutta Good
āSÄdhuƱca vo, bhikkhave, desessÄmi asÄdhuƱca. āMendicants, I will teach you what is good and what is not good.
Taį¹ suį¹Ätha, sÄdhukaį¹ manasi karotha, bhÄsissÄmÄ«āti. Listen and apply your mind well, I will speak.ā
āEvaį¹, bhanteāti kho te bhikkhÅ« bhagavato paccassosuį¹. āYes, sir,ā they replied.
BhagavÄ etadavoca: The Buddha said this:
āKatamaƱca, bhikkhave, asÄdhu? āAnd what, mendicants, is not good?
PÄį¹ÄtipÄto, adinnÄdÄnaį¹, kÄmesumicchÄcÄro, musÄvÄdo, pisuį¹Ä vÄcÄ, pharusÄ vÄcÄ, samphappalÄpo, abhijjhÄ, byÄpÄdo, micchÄdiį¹į¹hiāKilling living creatures, stealing, and sexual misconduct; speech thatās false, divisive, harsh, or nonsensical; covetousness, ill will, and wrong view.
