Saį¹yojanasutta Fetters
āDasayimÄni, bhikkhave, saį¹yojanÄni. āMendicants, there are ten fetters.

PaƱcorambhÄgiyÄni saį¹yojanÄni, paƱcuddhambhÄgiyÄni saį¹yojanÄni. The five lower fetters and the five higher fetters.
KatamÄni paƱcorambhÄgiyÄni saį¹yojanÄni? What are the five lower fetters?
SakkÄyadiį¹į¹hi, vicikicchÄ, sÄ«labbataparÄmÄso, kÄmacchando, byÄpÄdoāSubstantialist view, doubt, misapprehension of precepts and observances, sensual desire, and ill will.
imÄni paƱcorambhÄgiyÄni saį¹yojanÄni. These are the five lower fetters.
