āSaddho ca, bhikkhave, bhikkhu hoti, no ca sÄ«lavÄ. āA mendicant is faithful, but not ethical.

gena aparipÅ«ro hoti. So theyāre incomplete in that respect,

gaį¹ paripÅ«retabbaį¹: and should fulfill it, thinking:
ākintÄhaį¹ saddho ca assaį¹ sÄ«lavÄ cÄāti. āHow can I become faithful and ethical?ā
Yato ca kho, bhikkhave, bhikkhu saddho ca hoti, sÄ«lavÄ ca, evaį¹ so tenaį¹
gena paripÅ«ro hoti. When the mendicant is faithful and ethical, theyāre complete in that respect.
Saddho ca, bhikkhave, bhikkhu hoti sÄ«lavÄ ca, no ca bahussuto bahussuto ca, A mendicant is faithful and ethical, but not learned ā¦

yathÄkammÅ«page satte pajÄnÄti, no ca ÄsavÄnaį¹ khayÄ ā¦peā¦ sacchikatvÄ upasampajja viharati. they donāt realize the undefiled freedom of heart and freedom by wisdom in this very life, and live having realized it with their own insight due to the ending of defilements.

Imehi kho, bhikkhave, dasahi dhammehi samannÄgato bhikkhu samantapÄsÄdiko ca hoti sabbÄkÄraparipÅ«ro cÄāti. A mendicant who has these ten qualities is impressive all around, and is complete in every respect.ā
