āPaƱcahi, bhikkhave, dhammehi samannÄgato thero bhikkhu sabrahmacÄrÄ«naį¹ appiyo ca hoti, amanÄpo ca agaru ca abhÄvanÄ«yo ca. āMendicants, a senior mendicant with five qualities is unlikable and disagreeable to their spiritual companions, not respected or admired.
Katamehi paƱcahi? What five?
Assaddho hoti, ahiriko hoti, anottappÄ« hoti, kusÄ«to hoti, duppaƱƱo hotiāTheyāre faithless, shameless, imprudent, lazy, and witless.
imehi kho, bhikkhave, paƱcahi dhammehi samannÄgato thero bhikkhu sabrahmacÄrÄ«naį¹ appiyo ca hoti amanÄpo ca agaru ca abhÄvanÄ«yo ca. A senior mendicant with these five qualities is unlikable and disagreeable to their spiritual companions, not respected or admired.
