Satipaṭṭhānasutta Mindfulness Meditation

ā€œRāgassa, bhikkhave, abhiƱƱāya cattāro dhammā bhāvetabbā. ā€œFor insight into greed, four things should be developed.

Katame cattāro? What four?

Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu kāye kāyānupassÄ« viharati ātāpÄ« sampajāno satimā vineyya loke abhijjhādomanassaṁ; Firstly, a mendicant meditates by observing an aspect of the body—keen, aware, and mindful, rid of covetousness and displeasure for the world.

vedanāsu …pe… citte …pe… dhammesu dhammānupassÄ« viharati ātāpÄ« sampajāno satimā vineyya loke abhijjhādomanassaṁ. They meditate observing an aspect of feelings … mind … principles—keen, aware, and mindful, rid of covetousness and displeasure for the world.

Rāgassa, bhikkhave, abhiƱƱāya ime cattāro dhammā bhāvetabbÄā€ti. For insight into greed, these four things should be developed.ā€
