āYÄni kÄnici, bhikkhave, kulÄni bhogesu mahattaį¹ pattÄni na ciraį¹į¹hitikÄni bhavanti, sabbÄni tÄni catÅ«hi į¹hÄnehi, etesaį¹ vÄ aƱƱatarena. āMendicants, when families donāt stay wealthy for long, itās always for one or more of these four reasons.

kharonti, aparimitapÄnabhojanÄ honti, dussÄ«laį¹ itthiį¹ vÄ purisaį¹ vÄ Ädhipacce į¹hapenti. They donāt look for whatās lost; they donāt fix old things; they eat and drink too much; or they put an unethical woman or man in charge.
