āAsappurisaƱca vo, bhikkhave, desessÄmi, asappurisena asappurisataraƱca; āMendicants, I will teach you an untrue person and an even more untrue person,
sappurisaƱca, sappurisena sappurisataraƱca. Taį¹ suį¹Ätha ā¦peā¦. a true person and an even truer person.
āKatamo ca, bhikkhave, asappuriso? And what is an untrue person?
Idha, bhikkhave, ekacco pÄį¹ÄtipÄtÄ« hoti, adinnÄdÄyÄ« hoti, kÄmesumicchÄcÄrÄ« hoti, musÄvÄdÄ« hoti, pisuį¹avÄco hoti, pharusavÄco hoti, samphappalÄpÄ« hoti, abhijjhÄlu hoti, byÄpannacitto hoti, micchÄdiį¹į¹hiko hoti. Itās someone who kills living creatures, steals, and commits sexual misconduct. They use speech thatās false, divisive, harsh, or nonsensical. And theyāre covetous, malicious, with wrong view.
Ayaį¹ vuccati, bhikkhave, asappuriso. This is called an untrue person.
Katamo ca, bhikkhave, asappurisena asappurisataro? And what is an even more untrue person?
Idha, bhikkhave, ekacco attanÄ ca pÄį¹ÄtipÄtÄ« hoti, paraƱca pÄį¹ÄtipÄte samÄdapeti ā¦peā¦ attanÄ ca abhijjhÄlu hoti, paraƱca abhijjhÄya samÄdapeti; Itās someone who kills living creatures, steals, and commits sexual misconduct. They use speech thatās false, divisive, harsh, or nonsensical. Theyāre covetous, malicious, with wrong view. And they encourage others to do these things.
attanÄ ca byÄpannacitto hoti, paraƱca byÄpÄde samÄdapeti, attanÄ ca micchÄdiį¹į¹hiko hoti, paraƱca micchÄdiį¹į¹hiyÄ samÄdapeti.

Itās someone who doesnāt kill living creatures, steal, or commit sexual misconduct. They donāt use speech thatās false, divisive, harsh, or nonsensical. And theyāre contented, kind-hearted, with right view.
