Sucaritasutta Good Conduct
āCattÄrimÄni, bhikkhave, vacÄ«sucaritÄni. āMendicants, there are these four kinds of good conduct by way of speech.
KatamÄni cattÄri? What four?
SaccavÄcÄ, apisuį¹Ä vÄcÄ, saį¹hÄ vÄcÄ, mantabhÄsÄāSpeech thatās true, harmonious, gentle, and thoughtful.
ImÄni kho, bhikkhave, cattÄri vacÄ«sucaritÄnÄ«āti. These are the four kinds of good conduct by way of speech.ā
