Sammādiṭṭhisutta Right View

ā€œCatÅ«hi, bhikkhave, dhammehi samannāgato bhikkhu apaṇṇakappaį¹­ipadaṁ paį¹­ipanno hoti, yoni cassa āraddhā hoti āsavānaṁ khayāya. ā€œMendicants, when a mendicant has four things their practice is unfailing, and they have laid the groundwork for ending the defilements.

Katamehi catūhi? What four?

Nekkhammavitakkena, abyāpādavitakkena, avihiṁsāvitakkena, sammādiį¹­į¹­hiyā—Thoughts of renunciation, good will, and harmlessness; and right view.

imehi kho, bhikkhave, catÅ«hi dhammehi samannāgato bhikkhu apaṇṇakappaį¹­ipadaṁ paį¹­ipanno hoti, yoni cassa āraddhā hoti āsavānaṁ khayāyÄā€ti. When a mendicant has these four things their practice is unfailing, and they have laid the groundwork for ending the defilements.ā€
